Custom Copper Works LLC of Fortville, Indiana was founded in 2003 as a sole proprietorship. In March of 2004, we registered with the Indiana Secretary of State as a limited liability company, or LLC. In December of 2009, we moved to our present location. Our owner has a long history in home maintenance and several construction trades, including most types of roofing, siding, framing, and carpentry (copper since 1994).

Occasionally, there is a need for other services in addition to replacement of damaged copper, such as removing and replacing shingles or other types of roof materials, or decayed lumber or roof decking. We can also perform several of these related services for you.

As a "service area business", we provide services to our customers at their homes, or other locations. We fabricate certain items in our shop, and some of the fabrication is done onsite, also. This means we don't have a retail office or showroom associated with our services (like an electrician, painter, or plumber).

We would like to have an initial consultation with you via telephone, text, or email, and then schedule an appointment for us to meet with you to perform an inspection of your project. We typically handle most of the contract details via email, text, fax, or telephone, as applicable.

At Custom Copper Works, our goal is to produce highly satisfied customers. We endeavor to accomplish this by attending carefully to the following:

All jobs are quoted to include materials, labor, equipment, taxes, insurance, etc., giving our customers the benefit of a firm job cost, with no hidden charges. If additional services become necessary, for your protection, we will proceed only after obtaining your written consent to any such additional services.

In the unlikely event additional types of work are recommended or found to be necessary during the construction process, we will document same with photos, and contact you to discuss our findings immediately. However, most jobs don't require anything extra.

Any contractual agreement to perform copper work will be based on a fixed-price proposal, not an estimate. We can give you a "ballpark" estimate relatively quickly, but if you wish for us to proceed with your project, the cost will be fully documented, and a written agreement reached, prior to scheduling of your project.

We do not use any subcontractors. All installations are performed and supervised personally by the owner. We recognize the quality of your job depends upon careful attention to detail, and must be done correctly the first time. This is the core philosophy of our business.
